Tuesday marks the end of a long wait and the beginning of a special event.
At long last, the World Baseball Classic is back.
Typically played every four years, the Classic was last played in 2017 and was set to take place again in 2021 before the COVID-19 pandemic wiped it off the schedule.
Team USA won the title back in 2017 and will look to have a repeat performance six years later.
The excitement is palpable all around the baseball world as the start of the Classic draws near.
On Twitter, MLB Network insider Jon Morosi made a post to remind everybody of the excitement that is about to take place.

The fun will kick off on Tuesday night as the WBC makes its long-awaited return.
It’s been six years since we’ve had a chance to enjoy this legendary event.
The WBC is an event that brings baseball fans together, regardless of who cheers for which country.
It’s a celebration of this great game and what it has to offer, and it’s finally back.
The baseball world has been waiting since 2017 to experience this great event again.
But we will not have to wait much longer.
Each country is stacked with talent at every position, and the teams are ready to battle it out and determine who truly has the most elite baseball talent in the world.
Team USA is hoping for a repeat performance this year, while other squads such as Team Japan, Team Korea, and the Dominican National Team are also stacked with stars.
