Although he had a valiant effort in his four starts with the New York Jets this season, Mike White has a question mark next to his status in the NFL after this year concludes.
White truly gave his all to the Jets organization this season, and even tried to play through immense pain.
You have to feel for Mike White, whose late-season opportunity was derailed by that Dec. 11 rib injury. Tried to play through it last wk, but appeared compromised.- His future with the #Jets is uncertain, as he will be a UFA.

He would have played, too, but the team doctors were unwilling to take a risk on his future health.
However, being that he is an unrestricted free agent heading into the offseason, the Jets have a lot to consider with White, and they might not keep him on their roster.
Besides White, the Jets are currently employing Zach Wilson and Joe Flacco on their active roster.
Wilson was the Jets’ number two draft pick in 2021, and Flacco is a long-time NFL veteran.
While neither Wilson nor Flacco have played significantly better than White this season, they do have the draft capital to support their spots on the Jets roster.
Has White done enough to earn a spot on the Jets, or any NFL roster, at that?
In his four games this season, White threw for 1,192 total yards, completed 58.9 percent of his passes, and threw three touchdown passes and four interceptions.
His three touchdown passes all came in the same game, which means that he had three games in which he didn’t throw any.
From White’s perspective, he did all that he could to succeed within the Jets organization.
Time will tell what his future holds in the league.
