Mike Trout may have battled through various injury issues this season.
But that didn’t stop him from putting up some MVP-caliber numbers at the plate.
The Los Angeles Angels slugger hit 40 home runs with 80 RBI, 28 doubles, and a .999 OPS.
That was enough to earn Trout his ninth career Silver Slugger Award.
Those awards were announced yesterday.
The other two Silver Slugger Award winners for American League outfielders were Aaron Judge and Julio Rodriguez, both of whom appear lined up to take home the AL MVP and Rookie of the Year Awards, respectively.
The Angels took to Twitter yesterday to celebrate Trout’s accomplishment.

Trout Wins Another Silver Slugger Award
Even through injuries, Trout remains one of the game’s top sluggers.
Luis Arraez, Yordan Alvarez, Alejandro Kirk, Jose Ramirez, Xander Bogaerts, Jose Altuve, and Nathaniel Lowe were the rest of the American League Silver Sluggers in addition to Trout, Judge, and Rodriguez.
Though Trout was limited to just 119 games, his 40 home runs ranked second in the American League to Judge.
Trout was on a 54-homer pace over 162 games.
The Angels were largely carried by Trout and Shohei Ohtani offensively.
The team finished in third place in the AL West, going 73-89 and falling short of the postseason for the eighth straight season.
Still, Trout had a season to remember, fighting through injuries and still putting together a solid season.
Trout’s .630 slugging percentage ranked second in the American League behind Judge among players with at least 450 plate appearances during the season.
Trout was the lone member of the Halos to earn a Silver Slugger Award,
