The last couple of weeks have reminded us that whenever he is healthy, Los Angeles Angels outfielder Mike Trout remains a top-five hitter in MLB.
It’s true that he has suffered his fair share of injury issues in the past two years, but fans should definitely not take Trout for granted.
He is showing that those who doubted that he would play again this season were wrong.
Yes, he has a somewhat complex, potentially degenerative back condition that may or may not affect his career in the long-term.
Right now?
He is brushing off any health concerns with top performance at the plate.
“Mike Trout has homered in four consecutive games, which matches the longest streak of his career. He also homered in four straight games from April 4-7, 2019 and May 12-15, 2017,” the Angels PR account tweeted.

Trout Remains A True Star
If he can hit home runs in four consecutive games with that condition, what can we expect from us mortals?
All kidding aside, Trout is having another marquee season, despite the Angels not providing any help at all besides Shohei Ohtani.
The multiple MVP winner is slashing .278/.367/.615 with 32 round-trippers and an excellent .982 OPS.
He is not really a threat to steal bases at this point of his career, at 31 years old, but his bat remains as potent as ever and his defense hasn’t shown a marked decline.
Despite his health concerns, Trout remains a solid player to build around.
No one has been as productive as him for that long (a decade), and he wants to keep the party going for quite some time.
Trout hasn’t gone anywhere, even if the Angels don’t usually help matters.
