Things just keep going from bad to worse for the Los Angeles Angels.
On top of yet another loss, last night’s being a 6-5 defeat at the hands of the Houston Astros, Mike Trout was forced to exit the game with yet another ailment.
Trout ultimately exited the game as a result of upper back spasms.
Trout only took two at-bats last night against the Astros and struck out in both of them.
The Angels Public Relations team tweeted the news about Trout’s exit from the ballgame.
Trout was replaced by Monte Harrison once he was removed from last night’s ballgame.

Rock Bottom
Things aren’t getting any better in Anaheim.
The Angels can’t stop losing ballgames and Trout just can’t seem to stay healthy.
This has to be frustrating for Angels fans to watch.
Even after they put together a good team on paper, they can’t get things right and continue to lose games.
With last night’s loss, the Halos dropped to 38-50 on the season and fell to 20 games back of the Astros for first in the AL West, just a few months after they had a stranglehold on the division.
They also are now eight games back of the final AL Wild Card spot.
This team has already hit rock bottom, but as we keep seeing over and over again, there might be a level worse than rock bottom.
If that’s the case, then that’s where the Angels are headed unless they pull it together and start winning some games here soon.
They may ultimately have to look at selling when the trade deadline comes around.
We’ll see what comes next for the Halos.

Rick says
Trout hasn’t played a full season since 2016. I’d say trade him. But the Angels’ leadership wouldn’t know what to do with the new players.
