The Dallas Cowboys did just what they needed to do: They took care of business.
Jerry Jones‘ team hit the road to face Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in a hostile environment, dominating them from start to finish to keep their playoff run alive.
However, they won’t have a lot of time to celebrate or sleep on their laurels, as they’ll now have a short week after playing on Monday night and then on Sunday afternoon.
The Cowboys will take the road for the second time in as many weeks, this time to face the red-hot San Francisco 49ers at Levi’s Stadium.
Needless to say, all teams need every little advantage they can get when they face a team like the Niners, especially on the road.
Even so, Head Coach Mike McCarthy seems unfazed and unbothered by the lack of rest his team will get ahead of their toughest game of the season yet.
If anything, McCarthy jokingly said that his guys would be grumpier due to the lack of sleep, which could turn out to be a positive team.
Moreover, the veteran coach understands that money makes the world go round, and the NFL sure knows how to capitalize and make the most of every tiny chance to make a dime.
“TV is king. What are you gonna say? This is part of the challenge. It’s not a concern. We got plenty of time to get ready. We’re not stressed about it at all,” McCarthy said, per Jon Machota.

Rest or not, the Cowboys will need to be near-perfect to contain the Niners’ versatile offense.
Kyle Shanahan’s team sent them back home last season, so you better believe they’ve had this game marked on their calendar for quite a while now.
