With the 2022 NFL season fast approaching, everyone involved in football has their share of predictions for the major individual awards.
Those recognitions include Defensive Player of the Year, Offensive Player of the Year, and Most Valuable Player.
Sports media personalities look through the crystal ball to select the award recipients during the annual NFL Honors.
The NFL Network crew has made their picks for the 2022 MVP, and Michael Irvin has an interesting choice.

NFL GameDay shared the MVP picks, with Cynthia Frelund and Rachel Bonnetta going for two-time reigning MVP Aaron Rodgers.
Meanwhile, Rich Eisen and Steve Mariucci predicted Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen.
Hall of Fame quarterback Kurt Warner chose Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow.
Finally, the Hall of Fame wide receiver named Minnesota Vikings play-caller Kirk Cousins.
It’s an uncommon choice, even if Cousins had 4,221 yards, 33 touchdowns, and seven interceptions last season.
However, Cousins has remained consistent with 4,000-yard outputs in six of the last seven seasons.
But if he puts up MVP-like numbers, it’s also a testament to Kevin O’Connell‘s offensive system.
Will The Vikings Make The Jump On Offense?
O’Connell helped the Los Angeles Rams win Super Bowl LVI.
It did help that they had the likes of Matthew Stafford, Cam Akers, Sony Michel, Odell Beckham Jr., and reigning Offensive Player of the Year Cooper Kupp.
The former Rams offensive coordinator has the building blocks in Minnesota with Cousins, Dalvin Cook, and Justin Jefferson.
Unlocking Jefferson’s full potential will lead to higher numbers.
In effect, Cousins’ numbers will also increase.
The Vikings have the potential to become one of the league’s top offenses.
When that happens, Irvin’s prediction might turn into reality.
