Last night, Nick Bosa took home the NFL’s award for Defensive Player of the Year.
During this voting process, 50 votes are allocated per position, and Bosa received 46 of the 50 possible first-place votes.
Despite being told that he was the runner-up, a member of the Dallas Cowboys defense was slighted, at least in the eyes of many fans of the team.

Micah Parsons has been one of the most dominant defenders in the league since he was drafted just two seasons ago.
He won the Defensive Rookie of the Year award in 2021 and is already a two-time first-team All-Pro.
However, many believe that he was slighted for Defensive Player of the Year, especially in consideration of the fact that he didn’t receive any first-place votes.
During the 2022 season, Parsons racked up 65 total tackles and 13.5 sacks, which were similar numbers to 2021, when he won Defensive Rookie of the Year.
This was certainly a dominant season, and he was one of the main reasons that the Cowboys defense achieved the level of success that they did.
However, while Bosa finished the season with 14 fewer tackles, he did have five more sacks, which seemed to be the deciding factor.
If anything, this will give Parsons more motivation next season, proving that he belongs in the conversation for this award.
After his first two seasons being as successful as they have been, the sky is truly the limit for Parsons.
The Cowboys defense allowed the sixth-fewest points last season, and they will look to build on that success next season as well.NEXT: Dak Prescott Earned A Selfless NFL Honor
