The New York Mets are red-hot.
All of the talk about the famous meme “Mets Gonna Met” appears to have been left in the dust.
This team is on a roll and their starting pitching has been at the very center of their early success in 2022.
They hold the best record in the National League at 16-7, and that is second behind their crosstown rivals, the New York Yankees, for the best in all of baseball.
But there’s a method to the madness for the Mets this season, something that has set them apart from the rest of the pack in the National League.
April is now behind us, but to this point, the Metropolitans have won every series and they are the only team to have accomplished that thus far.
The only team to win every series this season?

The Mets Are Back
It’s been a long time since the Mets were a powerhouse, but they’re certainly looking like one early in 2022.
They last reached the postseason in 2016, when they lost the NL Wild Card Game to the San Francisco Giants.
But all of their recent failures seem to be in the rearview mirror with their early success in 2022.
Even with Jacob deGrom on the shelf for a little while, the Mets’ starting rotation has led the way and carried them through the first month of the season.
The injury doesn’t seem to have fazed them one bit.
The Max Scherzer signing is paying off and the offense is also clicking.
There might just be something special brewing in Queens early in the season.
Could this team be a candidate for a deep October run in 2022?
Possibly, especially if they keep winning each series.
