Before long, we’re going to start seeing some players get dealt to other teams.
We’re in that mode right now, where the trade deadline is just a week away.
Several high-profile players will be with new teams when it’s all said and done, and teams will have put the finishing touches on their rosters before the stretch run.
That being said, the New York Mets are expected to be very active at the trade deadline.
One Mets insider revealed on Twitter that the team is currently discussing a trade package with the Chicago Cubs that includes catcher Willson Contreras and veteran reliever David Robertson.

Mets, Cubs Discussing Trade
Contreras and Juan Soto are the names that people are going to be speculating the most about as the trade deadline looms.
But it appears that the Mets and Cubs have been discussing a potential trade package here.
The catcher position is a spot where the Mets are going to need to consider some upgrades, as their marquee signing from a few years ago, James McCann, has struggled to stay healthy.
The Mets have been forced to rely heavily on Tomas Nido behind the plate.
Robertson would also give them a much-needed bullpen piece.
This would be a huge move if the Mets and Cubs were to agree on this trade package.
It all depends on what the Cubs are going to want in return.
The report on Twitter notes that the package does not include Mets prospects Francisco Alvarez or Brett Baty.
This move, if made, would make the Mets serious contenders for a World Series title.
We’ll see if they ultimately can get it done and bring in some valuable pieces.
