Baseball season is right around the corner, and the New York Mets would like fans to know that now is the perfect time to buy tickets for the 2023 season.
It was a busy offseason in Queens.
Though Jacob deGrom departed in free agency, the Mets made up for it by signing Justin Verlander, Jose Quintana, and Kodai Senga.
Omar Narvaez, David Robertson, Adam Ottavino, and Tommy Pham were also added, while the team managed to retain Edwin Diaz and Brandon Nimmo.
Needless to say, it’s an exciting time if you’re a Mets fan.
But the Mets had a little fun when trying to convince fans to buy tickets, and made a hilarious video with players acting as ticket agents.
The video can be seen in the tweet below.

The video started off with a phone ringing in an office.
Quickly, Nimmo rushed in and repeatedly yelled, “I got it,” before answering the phone with a big smile on his face.
The scene then switched to star shortstop Francisco Lindor, who was answering questions about Section 139.
He told his caller that it is indeed possible to see his hair from Section 139.
The scene cut to catcher Tomas Nido on the phone with a customer while simultaneously on FaceTime with Senga.
Senga told Nido that his “ghost fork” is just a pitch and not a real ghost, a message Nido relayed to his caller.
Lindor then told his caller to hang up the phone.
The last scene was of the team’s mascot “Mr. Met” attempting to answer a phone and put on headphones.
Sadly, his head was too big and the headphones broke.
