The holiday season is upon us.
In just nine days, we’ll all be celebrating Christmas Day.
With the famous holiday fast approaching, one MLB star is taking it upon himself to channel his inner Santa Claus.
The player in question is New York Mets designated hitter Daniel Vogelbach.
The slugger was walking through a local New York City mall on Thursday when he came across several young Mets fans.
For each fan, the veteran DH had a gift.
For some, the slugger had jerseys and shirts.
For others, he had baseballs.
Vogelbach signed each gift and took pictures with the young fans.
SNY, the TV home of the Mets, posted a video of all of Vogelbach’s interactions with fans.

For these young Mets fans, a dream came true.
Not only did they get to meet the veteran slugger, but they also got a chance to receive some special gifts from him as well.
Aside from baseball season, the holiday season is truly the best time of the year.
It is truly the season of giving and joy, and Vogelbach gave these fans some special gifts and provided them with some joy.
This is what Christmas is all about.
Vogelbach certainly lifted the spirits of these young fans and gave them gifts that they will never forget.
As it turns out, baseball and Christmas go hand in hand.
