The New York Mets have had an incredibly successful season so far.
At 82-48, they own the third-best record in MLB and the second-best in the National League behind the Los Angeles Dodgers.
They have been able to survive injuries to both of their top pitchers, Max Scherzer and Jacob deGrom, and other star players getting hurt.
As they get healthier, they should be deeper and more dangerous.
Fortunately for them, they are about to witness the return of three important contributors in the upcoming days and weeks: starter Tylor Megill, reliever Drew Smith, and infielder Luis Guillorme.
“Mets injury updates with Buck Showalter:- Tylor Megill will start a rehab assignment tomorrow
– Luis Guillorme is slated to start a rehab assignment on Sunday if all goes well
– Drew Smith is “close behind” for his rehab assignment,” SNY tweeted, with a video of Showalter offering the updates.

Three Excellent Reinforcements
Megill was huge in the start of the season, as the Mets had to endure deGrom’s injury.
For the year, he has a 5.01 ERA, but his Fielding Independent Pitching (FIP) is a much better 3.61.
His return will give the Mets another capable, talented starter to use in the stretch run and the playoffs.
Smith, who should be able to return within the next couple of weeks, has also been an important relief arm for the Mets.
With a solid 3.51 ERA in 41 frames, he has been very useful for Showalter.
Guillorme getting hurt was the reason why the team called up prospect Brett Baty.
The Mets, however, value Guillorme’s defensive versatility very highly.
Additionally, he has had a good season with the bat, too, hitting .283/.355/.357 in 289 plate appearances.
The three players will be welcome addition for an already great team.
