Jacob deGrom is making another rehab start on Thursday night.
He is making the start for the New York Mets‘ Triple-A affiliate, the Syracuse Mets.
deGrom is working his way back after a stress reaction in his right shoulder shut him down in spring training.
The Mets and their fans are waiting on pins and needles to see their ace back in action.
Some of them, or a lot of them actually, don’t have to wait much longer.
On Twitter, the Syracuse Mets announced that they have officially sold out for Thursday’s game, when deGrom makes another rehab start for them.
Thursday's game is SOLD OUT… thanks to all who bought tickets, and thanks to the @Mets for entrusting their ace to our care 🧡💙
We'll see you at the game – it's gonna be an Amazin' night!

Mets Sell Out Triple-A Game
It’s not every day that you see a minor league baseball game sold out, but this is no ordinary minor league ballgame.
It’s a game where arguably the best pitcher in all of baseball is going to be making a start, and Mets fans don’t want to miss that.
Syracuse is a bit of a haul from New York City, but you can imagine that Mets fans will be filing in that night to see deGrom go to work.
Fans have pined for him all season ever since he went down in spring training.
He hasn’t even pitched in a non-spring training major league game since last year, before elbow troubles ended his season.
It’s quite hilarious to see a minor league game get sold out.
But we all understand why it’s sold out.
Mets fans won’t be seeing a whole lot of deGrom at this point in the season.
The trade deadline is approaching and that means we’re getting later into the season.
If you’re a Mets fan, you’ve got to take every opportunity you have to see deGrom pitch.
