While the New York Mets are a strong team with a ton of depth on their roster, there are still some players that fans are missing.
The team looks prepared to make a World Series run in 2023 after winning 101 games last season.
But baseball is a strange game in many different ways when concerning outcomes of games or the fates of certain players.
A certain Mets fan on Twitter had two favorite players for a time.
Those players were Michael Conforto and J.D. Davis.
Both players are no longer members of the Mets.
But as fate would have it, the two ultimately reunited with the San Francisco Giants.
This fan expressed sadness over the departures of two of her favorite players.
i will never ever understand how my two favorite mets ended up being teammates on the san francisco giants 🙁 pic.twitter.com/eKwI44Fw01

The Mets sent Davis to the Giants at the trade deadline last year in exchange for veteran Darin Ruf.
Conforto was still a free agent during the MLB lockout last year and injured his shoulder while doing an offseason workout.
As a result, no team went out of their way to sign the veteran outfielder.
He ultimately decided to have shoulder surgery.
But he joined the Giants on a two-year, $36 million contract in December that includes an opt-out clause after year one.
And so, this fan’s two favorite players are teammates once again.
However, they are not teammates with the Mets, much to her dismay.
This can be the hard part of being a fan.
Fans grow attached to players and hate to see them go when the time ultimately comes.NEXT: Mets Manager Finds Silver Lining To The Jose Quintana News
