The New York Mets have been among the busiest teams in baseball this winter.
After their Wild Card Series loss to the San Diego Padres, owner Steve Cohen and GM Billy Eppler went straight to work.
Despite losing Jacob deGrom to the Texas Rangers, New York brought in Justin Verlander, Kodai Senga, and Jose Quintana to bolster the starting rotation.
The bullpen also improved quite a bit.
After re-signing closer Edwin Diaz, New York inked veteran relievers David Robertson and Adam Ottavino.
But the Mets aren’t done yet, and remain in touch with left-handers Zack Britton and Andrew Chafin.
On Twitter, Mets analyst Ben Yoel discussed just how dangerous the team’s bullpen could be should the Mets sign one of the two.
If the Mets do sign Andrew Chafin or Zack Britton the bullpen will be looking very strong.

New York obviously has Diaz as the closer, but Robertson and Ottavino are solid setup options, both of whom have closing experience.
Drew Smith, Brooks Raley, Elieser Hernandez, and other options such as Zach Greene, John Curtiss, and Jeff Brigham help add some depth to the bullpen.
The addition of one of the two aforementioned left-handers would be a huge boost for New York as they look to bounce back in 2023.
Britton has dealt with various injuries over the years, but does have a rapport with Mets manager Buck Showalter, who he played under during his time with the Baltimore Orioles.
Chafin might be the better option.
The 32-year-old had a 2.83 ERA with the Detroit Tigers in 2022.
Either way, the Mets have a loaded bullpen, which could get even stronger.
