Life comes at you fast, but it also gives you a shot at revenge, at least in the NBA.
That was the case with Miami Heat guard/forward Max Strus, who finally got the last laugh against the Boston Celtics.
Strus took a big shot at the Celtics after taking them down in the Eastern Conference Finals, sharing an Instagram story of the time when the Celtics waived him.

It’s evident that he kept receipts, and it was personal for him this time.
Strus entered the league as an undrafted free agent in 2019 after a successful stint at DePaul.
He was a part of the Celtics’ Summer League roster and even signed a two-way contract with them.
The Celtics converted his deal to a standard contract to make room for Tacko Fall, but he eventually missed the cut and wasn’t a part of the team’s roster by opening day.
He was later picked up by the Chicago Bulls and even made his NBA debut, but he suffered a season-ending injury while assigned to the G League, putting an end to his stint in his hometown Windy City.
Then, in full Miami Heat fashion, Erik Spoelstra managed to bring out the best of him, becoming an integral part of the Heat’s core.
He’s been with the Heat for three years now, and even though he couldn’t get back at the Celtics last year, he finally got them this time around.
Now, he can even cap it off by winning an NBA championship, but it won’t be an easy task against an elite Denver Nuggets team.
