With the international draft holding up negotiations, the MLB lockout continues into its 99th day.
Free agency, trades, and any sort of transactions are still on hold, and will be until a new CBA is agreed upon.
But even with the core economic issues almost being ironed out, the two sides return to a stalemate, which caused more games to be cancelled, further shortening the 2022 regular season.
The owners are up to their usual tricks, trying to frame everything on the union and make them look like the bad guys, and Max Scherzer made sure to remind the fans of what the owners are attempting to do.
I was in FL. We never offered the Int’l Draft. We did discuss it, but MLB told us they were NOT going to offer anything for it. At that point, we informed all players & agreed to no draft.
This is MLB muddying the waters & deflecting blame. Fans, pls hang in there with us.

Mad Max Speaking Facts
It’s important that people know the truth.
What the owners are doing, trying to blame the players for everything that has happened, is just wrong.
The owners continue to be manipulative and make themselves look like the heroes while they do their best to turn fans against the Players Association.
It seems as if the issue of international draft was already decided a while ago, back when negotiations were taking place in Florida.
But the owners have brought it back into discussions in an attempt to deflect blame and make things not look as clear as we all know they are.
The owners are clearly the main problem here, and while both sides need to make compromises, this is the owners’ doing, not the players.
The time has come for all the fighting to stop.
Bringing up the international draft is clearly a way for the owners to drag this out even longer, and shows us that a lot of them really do not want to play, but rather, make as much money as possible and keep the players in the dark.
