The Minnesota Twins are playing some good baseball right now.
They’ve opened up a 4.5-game lead in the American League Central division and have taken advantage of a tough start by the Chicago White Sox.
They sit at 26-16, which is the third-best record in the entire American League.
They’re making up for what was a lost season in 2021, when they finished in last place in the division.
Outfielder Max Kepler has noticed something different about this Twins squad.
He feels that the team is more in sync that it was last year, and that the vibe is better.
Twins insider Aaron Gleeman tweeted what Kepler had to say about the team.
Max Kepler hit a first-inning grand slam and drew a walk to lead off the ninth inning, coming around to score the game-winning run.
Afterward, he said the key to the #MNTwins success is teammates who like each other and a vastly improved clubhouse vibe compared to last season. pic.twitter.com/lQqNqHXGZq

Good Vibes In The Twin Cities
It’s clear that Kepler has high hopes for this team and believes that they could accomplish a lot as the season progresses.
We’re almost to June and the Twins are looking like the class of the AL Central.
Granted, that division is really a two-horse race between them and the White Sox, but this team is looking a lot better than it did a year ago.
Last season, they finished 73-89 on the heels of back-to-back division titles.
But Kepler is seeing something that he really likes about this squad, and something that is vital for any contending team, that being the ability to play together as a team and not feel like it’s all about individual accomplishments, something that he seems to believe plagued the club in 2021.
But with stars such as Carlos Correa, Miguel Sano, Kepler, Byron Buxton, and several others, this is a team that looks dangerous and one that could really fly under the radar this season.
