Things couldn’t be worse for the Dallas Mavericks right now, as they are 3-7 in their last 10 games.
But if that wasn’t bad enough, they could now be without their best player for the foreseeable future.
Luka Doncic left early in their loss to the New Orleans Pelicans with a left thigh strain, and he’s expected to undergo further testing to determine the seriousness of the injury.
Coach Jason Kidd admitted that Doncic “wasn’t moving well” and that he was trying to fight through the injury, according to NBA insider Andrew Lopez.
Jason Kidd: "I think we can all see he's not moving well."
Says Luka Doncic was trying to fight through the injury to help his teammates. Hopes injury isn't serious.

Doncic has reportedly been dealing with this to help his team make a playoff push.
He’s been dealing with this injury since the second game after the All-Star break, so it was just a matter of time before it eventually caught up to him.
The Mavs will be off for two days before playing the Memphis Grizzlies in a must-win game for two struggling teams, but it doesn’t seem like their best player is going to be on the floor.
Soft-tissue injuries tend to linger for weeks and even months, and they’ll need him to be at their best if they want to stand a chance to go deep in the playoffs.
Kyrie Irving will now be asked to do most of the heavy lifting offensively.
Ironically, it might as well be just what the Mavs need to get over the hump, as the two ball-dominant guards experiment isn’t working for Kidd’s team.
