It looks like it’s near the end of the road for the Dallas Mavericks.
Following a 109-100 Game 3 loss to the Golden State Warriors on Sunday night, Luka Doncic and his Mavs are now in a 3-0 hole against the former champs.
Their chances of coming back in the series were slim when they were down just two games.
Their chances now are all but non-existent.

As many NBA experts and analysts have pointed out, no team in the history of the league has ever come back from a 3-0 deficit.
While finding their footing again and fighting back into the series isn’t absolutely impossible – records are made to be broken – the Mavericks certainly won’t do it if they continue to play as they did on Sunday night.
Outsmarted By Golden State
Watching Sunday’s game, you saw a team that was fast, cohesive, smart, and adaptable.
And then there were the Mavericks.
The Warriors were just lapping the Mavericks for nearly the entire game.
Their defense was smothering and forced Doncic to rely on others, who weren’t always able to help.
Reggie Bullock, for example, was unlike himself and scored zero points.
Maxi Kleber suffered the same fate and looked literally nervous to put up a shot for most of the game.
Doncic was solid, racking up another 40 points.
But it just wasn’t enough – not by a long shot.
From offense to defense to everything in between, the Warriors had a solid handle on the game for nearly every single minute.
The Mavericks just can’t get their head around the Warriors and that’s why the thought of them making history and overcoming this 3-0 hole feels far-fetched.
