Things have been looking great for Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford as of late.
First, he was traded from the Detroit Lions where he hadn’t won a playoff game.
Then, he immediately won the Super Bowl in his first season with the Rams.
Likewise, that result earned him a four-year, $160 million extension from the squad as they keep their current championship window open.
Out of that number, he will get $130 million in guaranteed money, including $63 million guaranteed at signing.
Stafford also earned major raves from his contemporaries as he made it into the NFL’s Top 100 Players for 2022 list.

The Rams’ official Twitter account said, “Can we hear a little commotion for QB1?? Matthew Stafford comes in at No. 27 on the #NFLTop100!”
It’s a well-deserved feat for someone who has been through a lot of struggles early in his career.
Despite giving his best for the Lions for more than a decade, he couldn’t get the squad over the hump.
Still, you have to credit him for the effort, especially when he had a 5,000-yard passing season.
This time around, his fellow players now regard him as one of the best quarterbacks in the league.
It’s a recognition that will boost his confidence as they try to defend their title.
Rams Offense Remains Strong
With Stafford leading the way, they will continue to become a contender in the NFC.
He will look for reigning Offensive Player of the Year Cooper Kupp, who also got the lucrative extension he deserves.
Having Cam Akers back isn’t good news for the rest of the league.
Meanwhile, adding Allen Robinson II adds more depth to their receiving corps.
These players will forge the Rams’ thrust on offense for the 2022 season.
