After retiring from the NFL, Matt Ryan quickly turned to a career in broadcasting.
Ryan was hired by CBS to help cover the NFL, sharing his expertise with fans across the world.
The CBS crew was at U.S. Bank Stadium for Week 1, covering the broadcast of the Minnesota Vikings-Tampa Bay Buccaneers game.
During this broadcast, Ryan’s coworker, Andrew Catalon made a joke at Ryan’s expense.
In a clip shared via Ari Meirov, Catalon said, “This game feels like it should be 28-3 in favor of Minnesota.”
Matt Ryan made his broadcasting debut today … and they really didn't have to do this to him.

This clip shortly went viral, as this is about Ryan’s Super Bowl collapse against the New England Patriots.
Ryan played this comment off, slightly rolling his eyes before returning to the task at hand.
This was a reminder of the largest blown lead in Super Bowl history.
It continues to be brought up each season, and Ryan was already exposed to this comment in his first week on the job.
The Atlanta Falcons had the last laugh, at least this year, as they started the 2023 campaign with a Week 1 victory.
Ryan’s successor, Desmond Ridder has been tasked with taking over, hoping to bring the Falcons back to the Super Bowl.
They haven’t had much luck over the past few seasons, and many fans believe they have been cursed by the 28-3 debacle.
Whether they will overcome these odds remains to be seen.
If the NFC remains as the weaker of the two conferences, the Falcons should have more than enough chances to make their way back to the title game.
