Quarterback Matt Ryan has been the cornerstone of the Atlanta Falcons for 14 NFL seasons.
During that time, he led the team to the Super Bowl once and won league MVP in 2016.
However, his stint with the franchise that drafted him has ended when he was traded to the Indianapolis Colts for a third-round pick.
The team broke the relationship by pursuing Deshaun Watson and thus dealt him to the AFC.
Since he spent well over a decade of his life in Atlanta, Ryan can’t help but reminisce about his memories with the team and the city.
That’s why he shared a lengthy post to express his appreciation.
Thank you, Atlanta.

First, he thanked team owner Arthur Blank for taking a chance on him.
He went on to remember the countless hours of preparation before the game, as well as special moments like his first NFL touchdown pass.
Ryan also talked about the nature of sports and the dynamic nature that comes with it.
He is also grateful to the city that helped him become a man, a husband, and a father to two children.
Then, he went on to thank the players who took the field with him, the coaches who helped him improve, and the fans that always supported him.
He also gave props to what his wife Sarah accomplished, including her charity Advance The Lives.
Ryan’s Achievements With The Falcons
Aside from being the 2016 NFL MVP, he also won Offensive Player of the Year honors and made the First-Team All-Pro in the same season.
Ryan also made the Pro Bowl four times and led the Falcons to the playoffs six times.
He finished his stint in Atlanta with 5,242 completions for 59,735 yards and 367 touchdowns.
