Matt Nagy and the Chicago Bears were trying to do the impossible Sunday night by taking down Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers.
Things were actually looking up at halftime as the Bears held a 27-21 lead in what was surprisingly a shootout between the two division rivals.
That is when Nagy offered up a quote that is getting him mocked Monday.
Matt Nagy told NBC at halftime he was “having so much fun.”
The Packers out-scored the Bears 24-3 in the second half.

Nagy said he was having fun as the Bears headed into the locker room at halftime.
It’s too bad fun doesn’t equal halftime adjustments, because the Bears managed to score three points in the second half en route to a 45-30 victory.

Such a quote was just too much for social media to pass up.
No Longer Having Fun
How much fun did Nagy have in the second half?
And what about in the locker room following the loss to fall to 4-9?
There are some positives to Nagy keeping it light and fun with a halftime lead.
But the NFL is a serious business and his team was outplayed and out-coached in the second half.
That falls on his shoulders and Nagy is going to have a brutal finish to the season as he remains on the hot seat.
Can we get a sideline update on Matt Nagy’s having fun status?

The Bears are 4-9 and, thanks to ESPN not having flex scheduling, play next Monday night in primetime against the Minnesota Vikings.
Nagy will be in the spotlight all night as the conversation will focus on his job status more than the game itself.
What else can he prove at this point?
His team has shown regression since his first season in town and Sunday night saw him hand the ball to David Montgomery a total of 10 times.
There is just not much going on with his offense and the defense was torched by Rodgers yet again Sunday night.
Change is needed in Chicago, but at least Nagy is having fun for now.
