Veteran left-hander Matt Moore transitioned quite nicely from a starter’s role to relief role in 2022 with the Texas Rangers.
He is one of a few solid remaining MLB free agents who, to the surprise of many, has not signed yet.
The 33-year-old appeared in 63 games for the Rangers in 2022, going 5-2 with a 1.95 ERA and earning an All-Star spot.
Still, there haven’t been any rumors about teams interested in him.
On Twitter, one fan posted a graphic of some elite stats from Moore during the 2022 season, which proves that he could be a viable piece in any team’s bullpen, should he garner interest.

It is surprising to see that Moore has still yet to come off the board.
His strikeout rate ranks at 77%.
Pitchers with strikeout stuff are a hot commodity these days, and Moore can help provide some of that.
He also has a background in starting and could be used as an emergency starter should he be needed in such a role.
His fastball spin rate sits at 84% while his whiff rate sits at 85%.
So naturally, these stats could be something that draws the interest of teams.
One would think so, anyway.
But it’s hard to see why teams have passed on him so far after such a dominant season.
Relievers aren’t always the most expensive pitchers on the market either, and several teams could use some bullpen help, especially from the left side.
Ultimately, we’ll have to wait and see if any teams come calling for the veteran lefty’s services.
