The Miami Marlins have found themselves with a hole to fill entering the 2022-23 offseason.
Manager Don Mattingly recently stepped down from the role after the Fish finished with a 69-93 record and missed the postseason yet again.
And so, the search for a new manager has begun for the Marlins, and they may have a top candidate in mind.
Current New York Yankees third base coach Luis Rojas will be interviewing with the Marlins for the second time.
Rojas previously managed the New York Mets in 2020 and 2021, compiling a 101-121 record.
Other candidates include Houston Astros bench coach Joe Espada and St. Louis Cardinals bench coach Skip Schumaker.
Sources : Marlins will interview former Mets Manager and current Yankees 3B Coach Luis Rojas for their open Managerial job. This will be Rojas’ second interview.

Marlins Set To Interview Rojas Again
It seems that the Marlins are favoring Rojas at this point as they try and narrow down their managerial search.
Rojas never had much success in New York, with the Mets finishing in last place in 2020 and enduring a second-half collapse in 2021 after they had led the NL East as late as August.
But he may have another opportunity waiting for him in Miami, if the Marlins do indeed decide to move forward with him.
A second round of interviews is usually a good sign, so it might not be too long before the Marlins have their man.
At the very least, Rojas is experienced and has managed the bright lights of New York City, both as a manager and a third base coach.
There are still plenty of candidates for the Marlins managerial opening.
But as now, Rojas appears to be the favorite to land the job.
