The Seattle Mariners are leading the tough AL West division with an 11-6 record so far.
They are currently besting a team with Mike Trout and Shohei Ohtani on their roster (the Los Angeles Angels), and a team that went to the last World Series a few months ago (the Houston Astros).
Those three will probably be fighting to win the division all year long.
The M’s have an ongoing four-game winning streak and have been victorious in eight of their last 10 games.
It’s good for their fans: they have been through a lot, and they certainly deserve a team worthy of fighting for a playoff spot.
They haven’t gone to the postseason since 2001!
Ichiro Suzuki was a rookie back then.
You know Seattle fans are special when you see the passion they have for the game.
It doesn’t matter if they have things to do, or if they don’t have anyone to babysit their children: they go to the stadium and show their support anyway.
The Mariners’ official Twitter account actually posted a video of shortstop J.P. Crawford (one of the MLB’s best players in the early going) throwing a baseball to a fan who was holding his baby girl with his left hand.

He caught the ball with his right hand.
We don’t know which one was more impressive: the throw (right on the money!) or the catch, but it made for a nice scene at the ballpark.
There Is A Winning Vibe In Seattle
Fans know that this might be the year in which the Mariners end their playoff drought.
They came awfully close last year.
However, they seem much-improved in 2022: they brought in the reigning Cy Young winner in Robbie Ray, and there is now a youth movement in the city.
Logan Gilbert has become the ace, and Jarred Kelenic and Julio Rodriguez are expected to be contributors to the team’s success.
The city’s hope levels are sky-high.
Can the Mariners deliver a postseason berth to them?
It’s still very early, but they look poised and determined to do so.
