Julio Rodriguez had one heck of a performance in last night’s Home Run Derby.

Though he ultimately fell short in the final round, losing by just a few to Juan Soto, the Seattle Mariners rookie phenom ended up hitting a total of 81 home runs last night.

His performance gave us all a glimpse at what he can do and what the future of baseball will look like when legends such as Albert Pujols have officially retired.

After the Derby, the Mariners tweeted a compilation video of all 81 of Rodriguez’s home runs last night.

For your viewing pleasure, we suggest that you check it out.

Something Special

Watching that man’s sweet swing on a loop is quite amazing, isn’t it baseball fans?

Rodriguez is a guy who has tremendous power and he put all of it on display for the Home Run Derby last night.

He was so close to winning and ultimately fell short, but that doesn’t take away from what a great performance he had, nor does it take away how smooth his swing is when he gets a hold of one.

Rodriguez provided us all a glimpse into the future with his unbelievable display of power last night.

This kid is going to be a lot of fun to watch for years to come, and the Derby basically served as his coming out party of sorts for fans who haven’t seen much of him.

But we’re going to be seeing a lot more of him from here on out.

This kid is going to be special, and he has a ton of upside.

But for now, just enjoy watching him hit home runs on a loop.
