It’s been a whirlwind lately for the Seattle Mariners.
After some big additions during the offseason, the team got off to a terrible start on the heels of a 90-win season a year ago.
Even with the emergence of Julio Rodriguez, things weren’t getting any better for the M’s.
That is, until late June, when the Mariners came from well below .500 and started winning again.
In fact, this has all come in a span of 28 days, as the surge began on June 19.
Mariners analyst Larry Stone highlights on Twitter just how amazing this turnaround has been and how it’s one of the most incredible things he has witnessed in his many years of covering baseball.
Going from 10 games under .500 on June 19 to nine games over .500 on July 17 — a span of 28 days — is one of the most astounding team feats I've ever witnessed in 30-plus years of covering MLB.

A Wild Turnaround
This turnaround really is quite something.
The Mariners were seemingly buried in the postseason race, well behind the Houston Astros in the AL West and several games out in the Wild Card race.
But things can always change, and they sure have changed for these Mariners.
They still are nine games back of the Astros, but with plenty of time left in the season, that can be made up.
They also find themselves in the second Wild Card spot.
Back in June, this team was an afterthought, but now they have seemingly overcome all of that adversity and become the team that everybody thought they would after such a productive offseason.
This is one of those teams you just can’t sleep on.
90 wins a season ago proved that, as they finished just two games shy of the postseason.
This team will also be an interesting one to watch at the trade deadline.
A lot has changed for them, and now they’re winning games again.
