The Atlanta Falcons are staying with their competition at 3-3.
Their most recent result was a 28-14 victory over the San Francisco 49ers.
While Falcons quarterback Marcus Mariota didn’t have flashy stats in that victory, it was enough to earn him a personal distinction.

The NFL hailed Mariota as the NFC’s Offensive Player of the Week, even if he only had 129 passing yards against the 49ers.
However, he had two passing touchdowns and completed 92.9 percent of his passes to get a 144.6 passer rating.
Aside from having just one pass off target, Mariota also added 50 rushing yards and scored a rushing touchdown.
Therefore, the former first-round draft pick had a hand in all the Falcons’ scoring drives.
Mariota has 1,055 passing yards, six touchdowns, and four interceptions through six games.
His accuracy in Week 6 also improved his completion percentage to 61.3.
The former Oregon standout also has three rushing touchdowns to his name.
Doing Enough To Help The Falcons
Mariota’s numbers aren’t as impressive compared to other quarterbacks.
However, it’s enough to give the Falcons a decent record.
All their defeats were within one possession.
In terms of passing yards, he has a high of 229 through six games.
But scoring three touchdowns and throwing just one pass off target is worthy of being considered the NFC Offensive Player of the Week.
Meanwhile, Seattle Seahawks cornerback Tariq Woolen is the NFC’s Defensive Player of the Week after having five tackles, an interception, and a fumble recovery in their win over the Arizona Cardinals.
Minnesota Vikings punter Ryan Wright is the NFC Special Teams Player of the Week with ten punts that averaged 44.1 yards per attempt.
His longest punt against the Miami Dolphins went 73 yards.
The Falcons can have a winning record by defeating the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 7.
