During the 2020 NBA bubble, Jonathan Isaac of the Orlando Magic suffered a terrible ACL injury that debilitated him for a long time.
In fact, Isaac missed two full years because of that injury and the slow rehabilitation process after it.
He recently returned to the league to play for his Magic and was ready to put the last two years behind him.
Sadly, it was revealed by ESPN insider Adrian Wojnarowski that Isaac just underwent season-ending surgery to repair a torn left adductor muscle.

This tough turn of events means that Isaac only participated in 11 games this season.
During that time, Isaac didn’t get a lot of time on the court and averaged just 11.3 minutes per game.
He posted 5 points and 4 rebounds a game in his brief return to the NBA.
It’s not clear how long Isaac will be out after this latest setback.
While the rest of the 2022-23 season is obviously out of the question, he could be ready to start again when 2023-24 begins.
At the peak of his career, Isaac was scoring 11.9 points, 6.8 rebounds, and 1.6 steals a night.
The hope was that he could spend the rest of this year getting back into his old rhythm, setting himself up for an explosive upcoming season.
Clearly, that is no longer the plan.
Isaac was chosen as the sixth overall pick in the 2017 NBA draft and has played for the Magic from the very beginning.
He has only participated in 147 games since being drafted as numerous injuries have slowed him down.
