Now that the Dallas Mavericks have officially taken down the Utah Jazz, they need to set sights on their next opponent, the Phoenix Suns.
The team is sure to face its biggest challenges yet in the second round against the best team in the entire league.
Chris Paul, Devin Booker, Deandre Ayton, Jae Crowder, Cam Payne – the list of dangerous assets on the Suns’ roster is immense.
But one NBA legend thinks Dallas has what it takes.
And in the West, Phoenix has to watch out for Dallas. The Mavericks have enough offensive firepower to upset the Suns!

Magic Johnson took to Twitter following Dallas’ big win on Thursday and made a bold statement: “And in the West, Phoenix has to watch out for Dallas. The Mavericks have enough offensive firepower to upset the Suns!”
Is Johnson correct and are the Mavericks about to upset the reigning Western Conference champions?
Shot For Shot
Johnson is right when he says that the Mavericks have a lot of offensive firepower.
Luka Doncic is just one of their reliable performers in that department.
Jalen Brunson, Spencer Dinwiddie, and Dorian Finney-Smith are just some of the players who can nail difficult shots.
Yet, for each of those guys, the Suns have their own players to fire back.
Chris Paul is just one of the many, many shooters playing for Phoenix.
And each of them will be pushing themselves harder than ever in the second round in the hopes of once again making the NBA Finals.
The Mavericks have a chance at taking down the Suns but it sure won’t be easy.
Two of the most competitive and offensively explosive teams are meeting up when it matters most.
Things are about to get awfully intense in the Western Conference.
