Anyone who watched even a single Dallas Mavericks game last season was probably very impressed with the hard work and talent of Luka Doncic.
Doncic had one of his best seasons yet and was on a whole other level as his team built upon its potential and surged into the postseason.
In the end, the team got as far as the Western Conference Finals, taken down by the eventual champions, the Golden State Warriors.
Doncic was seen as the obvious centerpiece of the Mavs and his ability to score points from just about anywhere was wild.
But he wasn’t just good at making shots.

As pointed out by the NBA Twitter account, Doncic was incredible at assists as well.
All season long, Doncic was making fantastic dimes for his teammates and was a major part of so many different, impressive buckets.
Some people think Doncic is just an iso-ball shooter but he’s actually a lot more than that: he’s becoming a legitimate team leader.
The Luka Special
Doncic is obviously the biggest part of the Mavericks.
He is the most reliable shooter and plays with speed, smarts, and skills.
But he’s also coming into his own as a leader and that might make all the difference.
For years now, people have said that Doncic needs to be more generous on the court and rely on his squad.
He’s learning to do just that.
Things will look different in the new season as one of his closest buddies, Jalen Brunson, has left the team for the New York Knicks.
But there is promise: newcomers JaVale McGee and Christian Wood will come in and could help Doncic in some huge ways.
That means that Doncic will have even more people to assist in the upcoming season.
