Luka Doncic of the Dallas Mavericks just keeps getting better and better.
He wowed millions of people with a stellar season average of 28.4 points, 9.1 rebounds, and 8.7 assists.
Then he stepped it up even more as he led his team to the Western Conference Finals, his first appearance there and their first in more than ten years.
Throughout the playoffs, Doncic showed that he’s ready to reach the next level of his career.
And many people are taking note.

In fact, Doncic was just named a finalist for the ESPY’s Best NBA Player Award.
Doncic joins a legendary group of nominees consisting of Nikola Jokic of the Denver Nuggets, Joel Embiid of the Philadelphia 76ers, and Stephen Curry of the championship Golden State Warriors.
There is no doubt Doncic belongs to stand shoulder to shoulder with those players.
What’s next for the Slovenian wonder?
Doncic Doing Things
Doncic and his Mavs didn’t make the Finals this year but it’s much easier to imagine him playing in them now that he’s proven his worth in the postseason.
Most people agree that with just a few tweaks to the Mavericks the team could make a Finals run.
They’ve already added talent with Christian Wood, who recently got sent over from the Houston Rockets.
But it still feels like they’re just shy of greatness, especially if they lose Jalen Brunson to the New York Knicks.
Make no mistake: Doncic wants to win in a huge way, he has had a taste of the playoffs and he wants a lot more.
But he can only carry his team so far, he needs more backup.
The Mavericks need to do all they can to give it to him because Doncic is repeatedly proving that he’s one of the best players alive.
