The NBA world was recently amazed by the work done by Luka Doncic of the Dallas Mavericks.
Doncic and his Mavericks were able to take down the best team in the league, the Phoenix Suns, in the Western Conference semifinals last week.
It was a huge achievement and put Doncic on the radar of many people who weren’t very familiar with him before.
Following the victory over the Suns, many were wondering what Doncic would do against the Golden State Warriors.
Well, in Game 1, he didn’t do much.

In fact, Doncic had more turnovers than field goals made for the first time in his playoff career on Wednesday night.
Doncic ended the night with 20 points, 7 rebounds, and 4 assists but also committed 7 turnovers too.
Will Doncic be able to turn it around and become his regular self again?
Going Against Golden State
Doncic is playing in his first Western Conference Finals, a huge career highlight.
However, he’s playing against a team that has played some legendary games in the playoffs.
There are few teams as strong in the postseason as the Warriors.
They are not going to let the Mavericks get by them easily.
Head coach Steve Kerr is no slouch – he and his team have been studying the Mavs and Doncic in particular.
They have a game plan to slow down and stop Doncic.
So far, it looks like their plan is working but that doesn’t mean that Jason Kidd and his staff won’t adjust and figure out how to get around the Warriors.
While the Mavericks didn’t get off to a great start, no one should be surprised if they come back strong in Game 2.
And even if they don’t, they overcame a 2-0 deficit in the last series so they could definitely do that again.
