Luis Arraez had a season to remember in 2022, as he hit for an American League-best .316 average and earned the American League batting title.
The Minnesota Twins recently shipped him over to the Miami Marlins, who sent two prospects and right-hander Pablo Lopez back to the Minnesota.
Last month, arbitration salary figures were exchanged.
Arraez had not yet been traded to the Marlins, but he and the Twins ultimately were unable to come to an agreement on a salary for the 2023 season.
With Arraez ultimately being traded to the Marlins, the case continued with his new team.
Fortunately, the 25-year-old appears to have won his case.

The reigning AL batting champion will receive $6.1 million.
The Twins had offered him $5 million.
Often times, when teams and players cannot agree on a set amount of money for the season, an arbitration case will be held, which could eventually lead to a hearing.
Fortunately, Arraez is getting the money he deserves after earning the batting title.
The Marlins had another difficult season in 2022, but have added some key pieces this offseason that might help them take a few steps forward in 2023.
The team signed veteran right-hander Johnny Cueto to a one-year deal before ultimately trading for Arraez.
Arraez is not a free agent until 2026 and will be arbitration-eligible until then.
In addition to his batting title, the 25-year-old won a Silver Slugger Award and was named to the AL All-Star team.
But for now, winning his arbitration case is key as he enters his first season with the Marlins.
