The Dallas Cowboys took a rather different approach to roster-building when Mike McCarthy took over.
The Cowboys are finally favoring their defensive unit, with Dan Quinn doing a remarkable job of turning their once-dreadful defense into one of the league’s finest.
Now, they could be looking to add even more talent to that unit, as NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo reported that they just hosted LSU DT star prospect Jaquelin Roy for a visit.
Notably, they could find themselves among some tough competition for his services, as Roy had already met with the Jacksonville Jaguars and Philadelphia Eagles and will now have a private workout with the New Orleans Saints as well.

There’s no wonder why so many teams have been intrigued by the LSU Tiger.
He didn’t exactly wow scouts with his performance at the combine, but he’s got all the physical tools to be a successful player at the next level.
Standing at 6-foot-3 and 305 pounds with 10.125-inch hands and 31.75-inch arm length, he was second at his position with 30 reps on the bench press and had an 8.01 time in the three-cone drill.
He’s coming off the best season of his career, finally establishing himself as a full-time starter and logging 49 total tackles.
Overall, Roy made 31 appearances for the Tigers, logging 1,439 snaps and wreaking havoc in the running game with 13.5 tackles for a loss, and he’s expected to be taken in the third round of the upcoming NFL Draft, with some boards having him as high as the second round.
