Dwayne Wade was one of the most well-liked NBA players of the last two decades.
Fans from across the league gave him support throughout his playing days and beyond, given his recent Hall of Fame induction.
Wade received significant public praise for this honor, including a special message from former teammate, LeBron James.
James’ message was in response to a five-minute video from the Miami Heat’s official page.

During his time in the league, Wade won the NBA Finals three times, was a Finals MVP, and was a 13-time All-Star.
His number was retired by the Heat, and now, nobody in the organization can wear that number.
When Wade retired in 2019, it signaled the departure of another member of a prominent generation of basketball players.
James and Chris Paul are now the two most prominent figures in the league from that era.
The NBA has changed significantly since Wade entered the league in 2003, which includes the current style of play.
Steph Curry, for instance, helped change the game when he entered the league, promoting a generation of elite shooters.
Speaking of shooters, big men take significantly more shots from long range now than they did in 2003.
Regardless of how the game is now, Wade’s presence will be sorely missed, especially in the Heat organization.
He was honored with the Hall of Fame along with Dirk Nowitzki, another player from Wade’s generation.
