LeBron James of the Los Angeles Lakers surprised his fans with a Twitter Q&A on Monday evening.
He answered a whole lot of questions, from who his favorite current basketball player is to what his favorite movie is and much more.
One answer from James surely brought up bad memories for fans of his.
Losing in the finals to Dallas after playing like 💩💩!! I hit the reset button, went back to the basics, worked on things in my game I needed to get better at so the defense couldn't just sit on 1 thing. Hours & hours & hours everyday in the off season on it. Came back 🔒 in! 🤷🏾♂️

When asked what the toughest moment of his career was so far, James commented that it was losing in the 2011 NBA Finals to the Dallas Mavericks.
James admitted that he played poorly during that series but spoke about how he turned it around: “I hit the reset button, went back to the basics, worked on things in my game I needed to get better at.”
Whatever James did back then, it worked.
Following the disappointing showing against the Mavs, James really did come back better than ever and began a successful Finals run that is still talked about to this day.
Defeated By Dallas
Back in 2011, the Miami Heat looked to be doing quite well but that all came to an end when they made the Finals against the Mavericks.
James fell apart in that pivotal series.
He averaged only three points in fourth quarters in the series.
In the end, he averaged just 17.8 points per game, which was a huge decline from his regular season average.
That change signified the biggest drop-off in league history.
However, James really did spend some time perfecting his game and getting things together after the Finals defeat.
The following year, he earned his first Finals victory.
Then, a year after that, James got his second ring with the Heat and the memories of the defeat by Dallas faded.
Thinking of losing to the Mavericks might still hurt James but he’s definitely become a much, much better player in the following years.
