LeBron James of the Los Angeles Lakers is getting nostalgic about his early days playing basketball.
The legendary NBA icon has a lot of free time on his hands now that his Lakers have finished their season early and that means he has more time to think fondly of the past and reflect on how far he’s come.
Wow it's been awhile since I've seen that footage. Weight of the world on the shoulders on #ThekidfromAKRON🤴🏾 https://t.co/nj1hj3xIe7

He was doing just that on Sunday, as he posted a tweet featuring an old SportsCenter clip about him.
In the clip, the young James was still playing high school ball and was easily the greatest non-professional student player in the world.
As we all know, James’ transition from student player to professional one was seamless and easy.
In fact, just a few years after his time playing at St. Vincent-St. Mary High School in Akron, he was a household name who was changing the way the NBA worked.
Record Nights
The SportsCenter video that James retweeted featured the up-and-coming star as he put up a whopping 52 points.
It also showed James speaking with the press, something he would soon become very used to doing.
Even at such a young age, it was obvious that James was aware of the long career that was laid out before him.
He seemed at total ease talking to reporters and speaking about his game.
James was carrying his high school team back then and that’s a theme that we have seen again and again from him.
He is a driven and powerful player who isn’t afraid of stepping up and doing what he must to make his squad as powerful and successful as possible.
Looking back at James in high school provides yet another reminder of how truly once-in-a-lifetime he is.
