LeBron James of the Los Angeles Lakers didn’t have a bad showing on Wednesday night.
In fact, he was good for 20 points, 10 rebounds, and 8 assists as his team faced off against – and beat – the New Orleans Pelicans in a thrilling overtime game.
Despite his strong numbers, James wasn’t having a good night.
He appeared to be sluggish and not playing with the same sort of fire that he usually has.
LeBron James said there was “something going around” that hit him pretty bad and he was bed-ridden from the Nuggets game until today with the illness. He said he plans to go straight to bed tonight for more rest. It even caused him to miss the team Halloween party.

Fans who noted James’ lackluster level of drive found out why after the game.
Speaking to the press following the win, James opened up and admitted that he wasn’t feeling well on Wednesday.
James said that there was “something going around” that hit him hard and made him feel sick.
He was obviously under the weather with some sort of flu or cold and was bedridden since Sunday night.
In fact, it was so bad that he wasn’t even able to participate in Halloween activities with friends and family on Monday.
He was able to muster up the strength to play on Wednesday but it was clear that James was sick.
Hopefully for the Lakers, he is feeling better soon.
The King Is Feeling Icky
The fact that James was able to claim a double-double even when sick says a lot about his skill level.
But one has to wonder how the Lakers would have done if he was feeling 100%.
Fans of the team are becoming cautiously optimistic about the team, thinking they might be finally getting it together after an awful start to the season.
They have won two in a row – and apparently, James was sick during both of those victories.
