The Los Angeles Lakers faced off against the Atlanta Hawks on December 30.
This was going to be an exciting game no matter what but it was made even more anticipated by the fact that it happened to be LeBron James‘ 38th birthday.
All eyes were on King James as he celebrated his big day, especially since he has been putting up numbers we have never seen from an NBA player of his age.

James didn’t let his fans down, scoring 47 points and 10 rebounds against the Hawks, giving LA a big win and dropping the jaws of fans who were astonished to see James create so much at such an age.
The performance is made even more impressive when you compare it to what James did on his 25th birthday years ago.
On his 25th birthday, James scored 48 points and 10 rebounds.
James is still capable of producing points like he did when he was more than a decade younger.
This is just the latest example of James overcoming the power of time and aging and showing how special he is.
James looked downright rejuvenated as his wife Savannah and mother Gloria Marie watched from their courtside seats, rooting him on.
It really is impressive to see James during his 20th season.
He is averaging 28.5 points, 8.1 rebounds, and 6.6 assists on 50.6% shooting from the field.
James is this close to passing Kareem Abdul-Jabbar as the all-time point leader in the NBA and, if he keeps playing as he has been, he should do that in only a few weeks.
His team is still struggling, sadly, and their chances of postseason glory are fading.
But even at 38, James is on a completely different level.
