It was only a matter of time before LeBron James of the Los Angeles Lakers spoke his mind about the situation with Robert Sarver, owner of the Phoenix Suns.
James has never been afraid to put himself out and let his opinions be known.
He’s completely comfortable leading the league on major hot topics and important social issues.
Therefore, we knew he would say something about Sarver and his suspension and fine from the NBA.
behavior. I love this league and I deeply respect our leadership. But this isn’t right. There is no place for misogyny, sexism, and racism in any work place. Don’t matter if you own the team or play for the team. We hold our league up as an example of our values and this aint it.

James didn’t hold back or pull any punches.
“Read through the Sarver stories a few times now. I gotta be honest…Our league definitely got this wrong. I don’t need to explain why,” James began.
He continued, “Y’all read the stories and decide for yourself. I said it before and I’m gonna say it again, there is no place in this league for that kind of behavior. I love this league and I deeply respect our leadership. But this isn’t right.”
James concluded with a call for the league and the people involved to do better: “There is no place for misogyny, sexism, and racism in any work place. Don’t matter if you own the team or play for the team. We hold our league up as an example of our values and this aint it.”
The King Speaks
The NBA was hoping that this situation was calming down and the league could move forward and put this in the past.
But that isn’t the case.
Now that James has spoken about Sarver and the ruling against him, more voices will come forward.
Every star in the league will feel more comfortable talking about the situation and the suspension and fine.
So the NBA isn’t getting its wish – in fact, this situation could be heating up even more.
