The Los Angeles Lakers may not make the playoffs this season, but they’re still must-watch television.
LeBron James continues to be a one-man show in his 20th season, and it doesn’t seem like Father Time has caught up to him by any means.
James just turned 38 years old but the athleticism, speed, and strength are still there.
He takes way too much care of his body and it shows, as his durability continues to be his cover letter.
More than that, James continues to be among the league’s top scorers, and his efficiency hasn’t taken a dip whatsoever.
He proved it again with a 41-point performance vs. the Houston Rockets on a night that got him closer to reaching yet another video-game-like milestone.
According to ESPN Stats & Info, the former first-overall pick now has a 40-point game against all teams in the league except for the Los Angeles Clippers.

Notably, he will still get at least two more chances to achieve that milestone this season, as the Lakers and Clippers will square off on January 25 and April 5.
There’s also a chance they meet up for the play-in tournament or even the playoffs, but that seems unlikely at this point, with Darvin Ham‘s team struggling to stay in contention.
So, someone better tell LeBron that he needs to top the 40-point plateau when he faces the Clippers.
His team isn’t winning that often, so he might as well at least try to use those losses to climb the ladder in most all-time lists.
