The NBA season kicked off Tuesday night and the big game of the evening was the match between the Los Angeles Lakers and Golden State Warriors.
The Warriors were looking to please a home crowd still high on the excitement of their latest championship win.
And the Lakers were attempting to spoil Golden State’s ring night with a surprise win.
Sooo Lebron has some thoughts: "We're not a team constructed of great shooting. It's not like we're sitting here with a lot of lasers on our team…like if you had a bunch of underneath route runners, the quarterback's not throwing 20+ yard passes downfield." pic.twitter.com/n4yJGdbVqS

Only one team got their wish and it wasn’t the one featuring LeBron James.
The Lakers fell 123-109 to the Warriors on opening night in a game that featured a lot of missteps and bone-headed moves from southern California’s favorite team.
The team wasn’t out-and-out horrible and there were some moments of greatness but it just wasn’t enough.
Particularly concerning was LA’s poor shooting stats throughout the night.
In fact, the team ended with a dismal 25% three-point percentage.
Ouch.
James opened up about the bad shooting on opening night, saying:
“We’re not a team constructed of great shooting. It’s not like we’re sitting here with a lot of lasers on our team…like if you had a bunch of underneath route runners, the quarterback’s not throwing 20+ yard passes downfield.”
This comment didn’t make fans happy – in fact, it made them more nervous about the season ahead.
No Lasers On The Lakers
At the end of the day, James is right: the team isn’t compromised of many terrific shooters.
However, some form of competent shooting is needed to stay competitive in the NBA.
So, how do the Lakers and James plan to make the Finals if they don’t have any “lasers”?
Following Tuesday’s game, fans of LA were pleading with the Lakers to do something big like trade for Buddy Hield from the Indiana Pacers.
But people should strap in for a season filled with comments like this from James.
