Ever since he made it to the NBA, LeBron James has been one of the most polarizing figures in the sports industry.
James was deemed as ‘The Chosen One’ before he set foot on an NBA court and the fact that he wore no. 23 — just like Michael Jordan — granted him plenty of criticism.
And even though he’s most likely exceeded all expectations as the most hyped prospect this game has ever seen, it’s safe to say that James still isn’t a fan favorite everywhere he goes.
That became evident last night at State Farm Stadium, as he was heavily booed as soon as his face was shown on the Jumbotron.
James was unbothered by the jeering and simply responded by crowning himself in reference to his ‘King James’ nickname.

Notably, LeBron became the NBA’s all-time leading scorer just last week, yet he still couldn’t get any love in Arizona.
Of course, that’s not much of a surprise, all things considered, as the Phoenix Suns aren’t exactly fond of the Los Angeles Lakers, where James plays.
More than that, the stadium was full of Philadelphia Eagles fans, and you know they can be ruthless with anyone who dares play against the Philadelphia 76ers.
Also, a recent study shows that the Memphis Grizzlies and Oklahoma City Thunder are the two most popular NBA teams in Missouri, so he wasn’t going to get any love from Kansas City Chiefs fans, either.
One would think that fans would have grown fond of James by now, but I guess some things will never change.
