To a younger generation of fans, there is no NBA without LeBron James.
There is a feeling that he has been around forever and that makes sense given he debuted back in 2003.
James will turn 37 years old on December 30 and while he is not as explosive as he once was, he is still playing near an MVP level.
The Los Angeles Lakers star is active on social media and quoted a stat about himself that truly is wild to see.
His reaction means he had no idea just how much of his life he has spent in the NBA.
MAN WHAT!!! 😱😱😱😱😱 https://t.co/eGfDpcFfWQ

James has officially spent half of his life playing in the NBA.
That is a mind-boggling statistic and shows just how much of James’ life has been spent in the spotlight.
Half A Life In The NBA
James was the No. 1 overall pick in 2003 and has not left the headlines since.
His career has seen him win titles in Miami, Cleveland, and Los Angeles as his legacy continues to grow.
But half a life in the NBA?
That is a long time and he will soon officially have spent more than half of his life in the NBA.
That timeframe will only continue to grow until he ultimately retires and enjoys life after basketball.
James is a rare professional athlete who can fairly be considered a generational talent.
His NFL counterpart in that is Tom Brady, who is also approaching this milestone.
This is wild. And Tom Brady’s date will be 12/29/22.
King James and TB12 really have spent half of their human existence giving us greatness. https://t.co/PsYGll6LHl

Given Brady sticks around for the 2022 season, he will have spent half of his life in the NFL.
James and Brady are obviously not going to be around forever.
But they are still showing no signs of slowing down and for them, it may feel like they truly have been professional athletes all their lives.
