The new NBA season is starting in less than two weeks and a lot of attention is being paid to the games on the horizon.
But there is also tons of talk about something else that doesn’t concern 2022-23 but the season that comes after that.
People are buzzing about Victor Wembanyama, the young French basketball player who is rocking the NBA world and getting fans elated.
Wembanyama participated in a stunning amateur game over the weekend, where he scored 37 points, 4 rebounds, and 5 blocks.
He went 7-of-11 from the three-point line as well and did this all in 32 minutes of play.
Everyone was wild about Wembanyama’s game – including a former number-one draft pick, LeBron James of the Los Angeles Lakers.

James gave his two cents on the big man, saying, “Everybody’s been a unicorn over the last few years, but he’s more like an alien.”
He added: “He’s for sure a generational talent.”
These comments will only bring more attention – and pressure – to Wembanyama as he prepares to enter the league next year.
If he wants some pointers about being so desired, Wembanyama can talk with James.
From One Generational Talent To Another
20 years ago, James also entered the league as a “generational talent” who could change the league forever.
It’s safe to say that he lived up to that hype.
While Wembanyama also has the ability to do just that, he needs to not let all of this hype go to his head and he can’t stop perfecting his game.
The NBA is tougher than ever before and more competitive too.
Fans are going to be anticipating the version of Wembanyama they saw the other night – anything less than that will be considered a disappointment.
Big things – and big expectations – are ahead for Wembanyama.
