The Kansas City Chiefs may be 11-1, but they haven’t looked like the team they’ve been the past few years.
The Chiefs are atop the AFC standings, but their record doesn’t indicate how close some of their wins have been during the 2024 NFL season.
Kansas City has gotten lucky on a few occasions late in games, and that could very well come back to bite the Chiefs in the postseason if they don’t rectify things.
Patrick Mahomes has been able to keep the offense on schedule, but the unit as a whole hasn’t been as explosive as it’s been in the past.
The receiving weapons leave much to be desired, though the running game and defense have been good enough to prop up the team.
Unfortunately, it appears Kansas City will be without a Super Bowl hero going forward.
“We have placed WR Mecole Hardman on Reserve/Injured,” the Chiefs announced on X.
We have signed Practice Squad WR Nikko Remigio to an active roster contract.
We have activated Practice Squad LB Swayze Bozeman and TE Baylor Cupp via Standard Elevation.

Hardman popped up on the injury report after practice with a knee injury and now will miss the remainder of the regular season.
He can still return during the postseason, though at this time it is unknown how serious his injury is.
As the hero of last year’s Super Bowl with his game-winning touchdown catch in overtime against the San Francisco 49ers, his loss is unfortunate, though the team is still in a very good position to advance deep into the postseason and win a historic third straight Super Bowl championship.
